Vintage Diamonds

Vintage diamonds are a great choice when you are looking for a piece of diamond jewelry for your self or for a loved one.  Because of their post dated style they are unique when compared to the diamond jewelry of today.  Vintage pieces also contain their own history which can be found exiting and meaningful to many of their new wearers.  They also will bring an apparent classic and timeless touch to any one who wares them.

Many vintage diamonds that are circulating today were crafted between 1850 and 1950.  This century added a great deal of history to our world.  The craftsmanship of diamonds was unique to many places at this time and it is often apparent to any skilled jeweler where the piece of jewelry originated.  Because vintage pieces can be traced back to time and place it is easy to find the history of the era in which they were formed.  Many people enjoy this about their jewelry, and it can be an interesting topic of conversation.

Because of the uniqueness of their craftsmanship, vintage diamonds are extremely unique in modern times.   It is very apparent when someone is wearing a piece of vintage jewelry of any sort, diamonds are even more apparent by nature.  Diamonds that are vintage are unique for many reasons and most of those reasons are visible.  They often were crafted with one of two materials; gold or silver. Other metals such as titanium, platinum, and stainless steel were not used in jewelry craftsmanship until the 1980’s or even after.  The cut of the stones are also very unique because of their imperfections and styles.  Diamonds were often cut by hand so there is no two that are alike, and there is no one that is cut perfectly.  There are also vintage that are not used today in diamond cutting like the rose cut.

Because of their hand craftsmanship, exiting histories and unique style vintage diamonds are a great choice for every individual.
